## What hiring the Candy Apple party bus gets you
The Candy Apple is the sixteen-seat red party bus most people picture when they think of party bus hire in Birmingham. The exterior carries a glitter and star-motif finish that photographs brilliantly at dusk, and the inside is built as a moving lounge rather than a minibus: leather bench seating with seatbelts down both sides, standing room in the centre, colour-change lighting through blues, pinks, reds and greens, and a TV screen with a karaoke and music-video system controlled from an iPad.

Sixteen people travel in the same space, talking to each other, instead of being split across four taxis that arrive fifteen minutes apart. Air conditioning keeps the saloon comfortable in July and December alike, ice buckets keep the drinks cold, and there is a separate luggage compartment, which is why the same bus works for a weekend away or an airport run as well as a night out.

It suits any group of a dozen or more marking something: hen parties, eighteenth and twenty-first birthdays, school proms, Christmas nights out, race days, stadium concerts and wedding guest transfers. Banner and balloon decorations are included for birthday bookings. It is needed most when your evening has more than one stop, when guests are travelling in from different towns, or when one person has quietly become responsible for getting everybody where they need to be.

Every booking comes with a professional, experienced chauffeur who stays with the vehicle for the duration of the hire, and a fully insured service. That means one named vehicle, one confirmed arrival time, and nobody in the group weighing up whether they are still under the limit at midnight.

## What goes wrong when transport is left until last
Party transport is usually the final item on the list, and it is the one that most often ruins the timings on the night. These are the failures we are asked to rescue, week after week.

### The group splits and the night never recovers
Two taxis turn up, four people wait, one car goes to the wrong venue. By the time everyone is together the table booking has gone and an hour of a paid-for evening has been spent standing on a pavement.

### Saturdays sell out months ahead
There is one of this bus and a finite number of Saturdays. Summer prom season, December and the weekends either side of a bank holiday go first. Leaving it late usually means the date is simply gone.

### Cheap quotes that grow on the night
A low headline figure often excludes waiting time, extra mileage, a second drop-off or a late finish. The bill arrives at the end of the evening, in front of your guests, when refusing it is not realistic.

### Unlicensed vehicles and no cover
A vehicle carrying sixteen paying passengers needs the right licensing and insurance. Without them your group has no cover, and no vehicle either, because it will not be permitted to complete the journey.

### Guessing the numbers
Booking a sixteen-seater for nineteen people is the most common mistake we see. Three guests then follow in a taxi, pay separately, and miss the part of the night everyone else talks about afterwards.

## How the booking works
01
### Tell us the plan
Send your date, pick-up area, passenger numbers and a rough outline of the evening, even if the venues are not fixed yet.

02
### Availability checked
We confirm whether the bus is free on your date and flag anything in the plan that will not work, such as a city-centre stop with nowhere legal to wait.

03
### Fixed price in writing
You get one price covering the vehicle, the hours and the route, with the pick-up and finish times stated. Nothing is added later.

04
### Booking confirmed
We hold the date, take your contact details for the day, and note anything specific: a prom collection time, a surprise pick-up, a level venue entrance.

05
### The night itself
Your chauffeur arrives ahead of the booked time so there is room for photographs, then runs the route, the waiting and the drop-offs while you enjoy the evening.

06
### If the plan changes
Tell us before the day and we re-quote, that is far cheaper than discovering the problem when the bus is already on the kerb.

## What you actually get

### The travelling is part of the night
Lighting, sound and standing room turn a transfer between venues into the bit people film and post. Nobody remembers a taxi.

### Nobody drives, nobody negotiates
No designated driver, no arguing over the meter, no one alone at a rank at 1am. The chauffeur handles all of it.

### One bill, split cleanly
Sixteen people sharing one fixed price is usually less per head than four late-night taxis on the same route, and you know the figure weeks beforehand.

### Timings that hold
We build in the arrival buffer rather than hoping the traffic cooperates, so restaurant and venue bookings are not lost to a late start.

### The organiser gets the night off
One phone number, one confirmed plan. The person who booked it stops being a coordinator and becomes a guest.

### Safe carriage, properly driven
A licensed, fully insured vehicle and a chauffeur who stays with it from the first pick-up to the last drop-off.

## The Candy Apple party bus in detail

### Who books this bus, and why
The Candy Apple is chosen when the vehicle is meant to be seen. Hen parties book it because the arrival is half the point, prom groups because sixteen friends can travel together in something nobody at school will forget, and eighteenth and twenty-first birthdays because the banner and balloon decorations are already included. If you want the photographs to look celebratory rather than formal, this is the bus.

Where a couple want guest transport that does not compete with the wedding cars, or a company wants something discreet for a client evening, we usually point them at the Black & Silver party bus instead. Both seat sixteen and both are quoted the same way, so the decision is purely about how loud you want the vehicle to be.

### Karaoke, music and the lighting
The TV screen and audio system are set up for karaoke and music videos and are controlled from an iPad on board, so nobody has to crouch over a stereo. The same system takes your own playlist, and the colour-change lighting can be run bright and fast for a birthday or held on one colour if you want the interior to read calmly in photographs. Tell your chauffeur what you want at the start of the hire.

For school proms and any booking involving under-18s, the entertainment stays and the alcohol does not: those hires are strictly alcohol-free, the driver will not depart with drink on board, and parents receive a written collection time.

### Routes, waiting time and how the hours are counted
Most bookings take one of three shapes. A single transfer runs from one address to one venue. A return booking adds a collection at an agreed time later that night. A tour keeps the bus with you for a block of hours, waiting between several stops. Tours cost more per hour but usually save money overall, because they remove the two or three separate taxi movements the same night would otherwise need.

Waiting time is quoted, not improvised. Broad Street, the Arcadian, Hurst Street and the areas around the stadiums all carry loading and waiting restrictions, so we agree where the bus will sit between stops at quote stage rather than at 11pm on the night.

### Capacity, luggage and access
Sixteen is a legal seated capacity, not a target to squeeze past, every passenger travels in a seatbelted seat. If your group is seventeen or more, the usual answer is this bus plus one of our limousines running the same route, quoted as a single booking.

Unlike most party buses, the Candy Apple has a separate luggage compartment, which makes it viable for airport transfers and weekends away. There is easy access and space for passengers with physical impairments; tell us at the outset, because the step height matters and there are venues where we can position the bus closer to a level entrance.

### Drinks, conduct and the state of the bus
Adult bookings are welcome to bring their own drinks aboard, and the ice buckets are there to keep them cold. We ask for no glass on the floor, no smoking or vaping inside the vehicle, and a group that respects the interior; the same bus is out again the next night.

The bus is cleaned inside and out and checked before every booking. A party bus only stays presentable with continuous work on the paint, the leather, the lighting and the mechanics, so ours comes off the road for that work rather than going out looking tired.

## Frequently asked questions
How many passengers does the Candy Apple party bus seat?Sixteen seated passengers, each with a seatbelt. For larger groups we pair the bus with one of our limousines on the same route and quote it as a single booking.

How much does party bus hire in Birmingham cost?Price depends on the date, the number of hours, the route and how much waiting time you need, so we quote each booking rather than publishing a figure that changes when you call. Send your details and you will get one fixed price covering the whole booking, usually the same working day.

How long can we have the bus for?Bookings range from a single one-way transfer to a block of several hours with the bus waiting between venues. Tell us the shape of your evening and we will price it as one figure, including the waiting.

How far in advance should we book?As early as you can. Saturdays, the summer prom season and December fill first. If your date is close, still call, cancellations do happen and we will tell you honestly what is free.

Can we bring alcohol and play our own music?Yes to both on adult bookings, connect your phone and bring your own drinks, with no glass on the floor. School prom and under-18 bookings are strictly alcohol-free.

Will the bus arrive on time?We build a buffer into every booking and aim to arrive before the time on your confirmation so there is space for photographs and a relaxed start. Your driver's contact details are shared before the day.

Where can you collect from?We are based in Birmingham and collect and drop off nationwide. Send your pick-up and destination postcodes and we will quote the run on distance and duration before you commit.

What happens if our plans change after booking?Tell us as soon as you know. Times, venues and passenger numbers can usually be re-quoted, and changing the paperwork in advance costs far less than trying to fix it on the night.

Do you take last-minute bookings? The office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and we take short-notice bookings whenever a bus is genuinely free. Call 0121 231 0998 rather than emailing if your date is within a week.

Is the bus suitable for a wedding? It is one of the smartest ways to move wedding guests between the ceremony, the reception and the hotel. Many couples pair it with one of our wedding cars for the bridal party and book both together.

Can passengers with restricted mobility travel? There is easy access and space for passengers with physical impairments on both party buses. Tell us at quote stage and we will confirm the step height and where the bus can be positioned at your venue.
